Christmas Tombola

We spend the christmas holidays with gf’s family in Milan. Last year, we started playing tombola. It is also called bingo in some other countries. If you do not know how the game works, I will not explain you below. Just check it out on the internet you lazy b*****d.

As I am a very risk averse person, I am reluctant to buy too many cards in the game. So my gains and losses are not significant. However, gf’s dad plays all in and buys usually 4 cards while everybody else is buying 2 or 3 cards. Usually in the second and third rounds of the game, after I lost a small amount of money, I start wondering if it is better to buy more cards and try to win back the money I lost and then some more or just keep the risk low and play safe.

To figure this out, I built an app that simulates the game and allows me to play with different number of cards and different strategies. The app is completely vibe-coded and the AI apes were having a hard time understanding the logic but they were finally able to finish it up.
